‘The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others’ – Mahatma Gandhi.
The way to dignified living is not in possessing riches but in using your limited resources to give a smile to someone who has not seen happiness or comfort. Even as we lay cocooned in our houses with modern comforts, we cannot and should not ignore the plight of millions struggling to meet their daily needs. Poverty is a curse that afflicts most sections of our population and forces them to live a life in utter penury and indignity. The exploitation of these sections at the hands of the powerful is a saga of pain, struggle, humiliation, and despair. However, if only those with resources and willpower can combine their efforts and channelize their energies, the dispossessed and underprivileged among us can be given succour and a means to live a life of dignity.
The Smile Foundation happens to be a platform for people from all walks of life to contribute and help the cause of people suffering from the pangs of hunger, malnutrition, and poverty. Started by a group of young professionals to support orphans, old men, women, and people from the grassroots of our society, Smile Foundation aims at bringing happiness in the lives of the dispossessed and needy.
We aim to provide food, medical support, education support, and vocational training to people who do not have the means, opportunities, and resources. Besides, we provide support to sportspersons in getting proper nutrition and necessary kits to enhance their performance on the field.
As a registered non-profit organization, the journey of The Smile Foundation is guided by the vision of some well-intentioned people.
To help the cause of the underprivileged and bring happiness in the lives of orphans, destitute, old men and women, and the needy.
We want to be known as an organization that goes beyond the ordinary to help the underprivileged find meaning in their lives.
